1. Who do I contact for a building permit?

For the Town of Land O’ Lakes contact Lee Noffke at (715) 547-6169.

For the County contact the Vilas County Zoning Deputy at (715) 479-3620.

2. Where can I get a dog license?

The Town Clerk’s office issues dog licenses each year. Bring in the documentation from the vet that shows when the rabies shot was given, when it needs to be renewed, name of vaccine producer, serial number. Female - $10.00, spayed $5.00, male - $10.00, neutered $5.00.

3. How do I get a fire number?

Please complete the Vilas County Online Address Application form at: https://arcg.is/1b4vbz

Please mail $100 fee to Town of Land O' Lakes PO Box 660, Land O' Lakes WI 54540.

The Vilas County Addressing Coordinator will assign the number. The Land O’ Lakes Town Road Crew will install the fire number.

4. Who do I contact for a burning permit?

Burning Permits are available online at https://apps.dnr.wi.gov/burnpermits/ or call 1-888-WIS-Burn (947-2876).

1. When and where can I pay my taxes?

Town Treasurer Office, Town Hall, 4331 Hwy B, Land O' Lakes. Monday through Thursday 9:00am to 3:00pm. Office will be Closed on the Holidays.

1. Do you have health care equipment available to use?

The Town of Land O' Lakes has a room full of medical equipment in the town hall that you may borrow. Our inventory includes: bathroom accessories, commodes, crutches, shower chairs, walkers/canes and wheelchairs. Come to the Clerk's office in the Town Hall. We will show you what is available and you simply have to sign your name, the item you are borrowing and your phone number.
